Bill Thomsen found his calling when he took off his tie and left the
accounting profession in 1978 to try his hand at woodworking. In 1981,
he founded Thomsen Ltd., a one-man shop providing custom furniture,
millwork, and wood turning to Atlanta area architects, designers, developers
and contractors. As its reputation for quality and aesthetic refinement grew, Thomsen Ltd. expanded, adding a team of craftsmen and a complete array of professional equipment. With a staff of 12 to 15 highly skilled woodworkers, it has grown into a small sized producer of commercial interior cabinetry and millwork, residential cabinetry and Arts and Crafts style furniture.
