Bill Thomsen found his calling when he took off his tie and left the accounting profession in 1978 to try his hand at woodworking. In 1981, he founded Thomsen Ltd., a one-man shop providing custom furniture and millwork to Atlanta area architects, designers, developers and contractors.

As its reputation for quality and aesthetic refinement grew, Thomsen Ltd. expanded, adding a team of craftsmen and a complete array of professional equipment. With a staff of 12 to 15 highly skilled woodworkers, it has grown into a small-sized producer of collectible Arts & Crafts Style furniture and commercial interior millwork. Thomsen Ltd. is a member in good standing of the Architectural Woodwork Institute.
