All of the joinery used in Arts & Crafts style furniture is structural in nature and very durable. Simple and functional, joinery is often exposed as part of the overall design. At Thomsen Ltd., we use the same building techniques that were honed to perfection by the original Arts & Crafts furniture builders a century ago.

We even perform some manufacturing operations on vintage equipment, including a 1901 Crescent band saw and a Yates American planer and mortise machine that is authentic to the time period. We also incorporate modern technology into the manufacturing process where it does not compromise the integrity of the craftsmanship.
